how the app works

1

enrollment

Follow steps 1.-3. of the instructions for participants, to choose an event, enroll and, if available, print your bib number.

download app and sign in

After you are enrolled for at least one competition, download the vRunner-App from the Google Play Store, open it and sign in with your race42 userdata.

2

3

select competition

The App also presets you a short description, how submitting a result works. Tap on "runs" at the bottom left of your screen. In the "runs" section you can find all open and future competitions you are enrolled for. Past events can only be viewed at the website. After a competition has started, the button next to it will turn orange and you can select it.

Notice: The first time you are visiting the "runs" section, you will be asked to provide your Location. This is mandatory for the app to work. Your location will only processed on your mobile phone and it will not transferred to anyone. After your participation the location data will be deleted by your phone.

tracking

If you have selected a competition and you are ready to begin your race, please go outside and tap on "find GPS satellites". Please to not move with your mobile phone, until GPS is synchronized. The status of the synchronisation is shown at the bottom of the window. Depending on your Android version you might need to accept the location sharing again.
After the GPS signal is accurate enough, the "start your run!" button will turn orange. By tapping it, your race will start. The app will stop the tracking automatically after you reached the required distance. If a competition has no fixed distance, you need tap "end run" after you are done.

4

5

submit result

After you have finished your race successfully, a button "submit result" will appear. By pressing this button you can submit your result and it will automatically be added to the result list.

Notice: If you want to publish a action photo for your result, you can edit your run on the website within your profile and add a picture. A picture of the gps track is not required, if you have submitted your result by the vRunner app (and you have not changed your result).

print certificate

At the latest within 24 hours after a competition has ended, you can, if the organizer has set up a certificate, download your certificate from our website within your profile in the "your runs/participations" tab by clicking on the button actions next to the competition.
