procedure of a virtual run
Choose an event, you are interested in, within the "Virtual events" section. After opening an event, detailed information, the start list and the results for this event will be presented to you.
Within the tab "information" of the detail view of an event you can click on "enroll" next to one or more competitions you want to participate in. Afterwards please follow the instructions of the user interface.
print bib number
After you have enrolled for an event, it will be shown in your profile in the tab "your runs/participations". If the organizer has set up a bib number, next to the competition a button "actions" will be displayed. By clicking on this button a dropdown menu will open and, if the organizer has set up a bib, you can download and print your bib number.
After an event has begun and before it has ended, you can submit your result within your profile in the tab "your runs/participations". Next to the competition you can click on "actions" and select "submit/manage result". Afterwards a window will open, in which you can enter your result. If you want to be ranked, you need to upload a screenshot/picture of your tracking app/GPS watch, showing your result time at the required or entered distance. In addition to that you can publish an "Action picture" showing you before/while/after your participation. You can change your result until the competition has ended or an administrator or organizer has verified your result.
The picture to proof your result, must include the run time at the required or entered distance!
If you doubt a result in the results list, you can report it. Click on "details" next to the result and use the report button. Afterwards an administrator or organizer will manually verify the result.
At the latest within 24 hours after a competition has ended, you can, if the organizer has set up a certificate, download your certificate within your profile in the "your runs/participations" tab by clicking on the button actions next to the competition.

procedure of creating a virtual event
Every event is as individual as the needs of its organizers and participants. We offer you extensive advice in order to provide you with a custom-made quotation. Please contact us via our contact form.
Sign up as an organizer. If you already have a participant account, you can change it to an organizer account within your profile in the "user data" tab. Organizers can still participate in their or others events.
complete event data
Complete the preferences of your event. We recommend to not switch "Public visible" to "yes" before you have finished setting up your event and its competitions. You can change your events settings at any time by clicking on the Button "Change" next to the event within your profile in the "your events" tab, this will led you to the settings of your event / the "Event manager". You can also download your invoice here.
An Event must have one or more competitions. Participants can enroll for a competition and submit a result. To create a competition click on "Create new competition" within the "Event manager" in the "competitions" tab and complete the form. You can change or update a competition in the "competitions" tab by clicking on the button "actions" next to the competition.
setup bib numbers
For each competition you can set up an individual bib number, which can be downloaded and printed by the participant. To open the bib number designer click on the button "actions" within the "Event manager" in the "competitions" tab next to the competition and select "edit bib". Please refer to the "FAQ/Help" section for more detailed information.
Setting up a certificate works similar to the bib approach. To open the certificate designer click on the button "actions" within the "Event manager" in the "competitions" tab next to the competition and select "edit certificate". Please refer to the "FAQ/Help" section for more detailed information.
After you have completed setting up the preferences and competitions of your event, you can publish your event by switching "Public visible" to "yes" within the "Event manager" in the "settings" tab. (don’t forget to save) Now your event will show up in the "Virtual events" section and participants can start to enroll.
how the app works
Follow steps 1.-3. of the instructions for participants, to choose an event, enroll and, if available, print your bib number.
download app and sign in
After you are enrolled for at least one competition, download the vRunner-App from the Google Play Store, open it and sign in with your race42 userdata.
The App also presets you a short description, how submitting a result works. Tap on "runs" at the bottom left of your screen. In the "runs" section you can find all open and future competitions you are enrolled for. Past events can only be viewed at the website. After a competition has started, the button next to it will turn orange and you can select it.
Notice: The first time you are visiting the "runs" section, you will be asked to provide your Location. This is mandatory for the app to work. Your location will only processed on your mobile phone and it will not transferred to anyone. After your participation the location data will be deleted by your phone.
If you have selected a competition and you are ready to begin your race, please go outside and tap on "find GPS satellites". Please to not move with your mobile phone, until GPS is synchronized. The status of the synchronisation is shown at the bottom of the window. Depending on your Android version you might need to accept the location sharing again.
After the GPS signal is accurate enough, the "start your run!" button will turn orange. By tapping it, your race will start. The app will stop the tracking automatically after you reached the required distance. If a competition has no fixed distance, you need tap "end run" after you are done.
After you have finished your race successfully, a button "submit result" will appear. By pressing this button you can submit your result and it will automatically be added to the result list.
Notice: If you want to publish a action photo for your result, you can edit your run on the website within your profile and add a picture. A picture of the gps track is not required, if you have submitted your result by the vRunner app (and you have not changed your result).
At the latest within 24 hours after a competition has ended, you can, if the organizer has set up a certificate, download your certificate from our website within your profile in the "your runs/participations" tab by clicking on the button actions next to the competition.
